Have you tried a sledgehammer to break your glass ceiling?
The glass ceiling was coined as a way to describe the problems that women and minorities experience when seeking equal pay and equal status.
There are some, however, that have mystified the statistics because the glass ceiling did not apply. They refused 'the belief.' They were either not raised in an environment that fostered the belief that they had to work harder, be smarter and accept less as their 'fight and lot' in life or they had one special, influential adult that inspired them to believe in their unlimitedness.
We all have our personal glass ceilings in different areas of our lives.
You see, we can see through a glass ceiling but for most of us, we will never figure out how to rise above it.
Your glass ceiling has been painfully soldered together pane by pane by your environment, your family's heritage of beliefs, your personal beliefs and limitations and your fear of making mistakes and risking failure.
Your glass ceiling may be made up of panes that say, "It's acceptable to manifest what you need but abundance is excessive." Or, maybe your belief is that if you have wealth, too many people will want something from you. Or, maybe you believe that your parents will be ashamed of you if you earn your living too easily and don't have to work 'hard' for your money, as they did. Or, maybe your glass ceiling is comprised of panes of painful memories of humiliation when you tried something new, hard, or different like a sport, a mathematical equation, or just the simple expression of your feelings.
Every experience is the outward reflection of our internal, energetic resonance. The vibrational essence of 'easy manifestation' for example, is one of general contentment, happiness and certainty.
If a person has moved out of poverty into a state of manifesting their basic needs, high praise is due as this is no small feat.
The unfortunate statistics show that most people will mature into a life that is very similar to the environment within which they were raised. Our consciousness tends to take on and accept the vibrational essence of our environment which is why abused children are more likely to be abusive parents; parents on welfare are more likely to have daughters/sons who also require welfare, and children who had their basic needs met, will be more likely to manifest the same: basic needs will be met, but nothing extra.
To manifest more prosperity requires a bold vibrational movement out of our current comfort zone. Our work will be intimately related to our ability to overcome our environment and our fear of failure.
Our consistent thoughts literally manufacture our consistent experiences.
Therefore, to move beyond basic needs to abundant prosperity, requires big dreams, big ideas, big courage, and big beliefs - a big sledgehammer!
We must DO what those who live the abundant life DO.
Think Big.
Believe Big.
Take Big Actions.
My friend and business mentor, J. Park was in Houston this last week, visiting his mama, Sugar-Nell. She has a more formal name, but Texan affection requires we call her Sugar-Nell (pronounced ShuGah-Nel). We had a great visit as I got to hear hours of exciting stories about his latest and greatest 'big ideas.'
His latest project occurred to him while he was laid up in bed for four months. He was run over by his own Jeep in Cabo San Lucas (long story) and while he was lying around (writhing in pain and bored out of his skull) he made a decision to get busy manifesting some big ideas again.
My friend, J.P., has had some 30 (or 40) businesses in his 40 something years on Earth. He's created major flops and major multi-million dollar corporations. Before his injury, he was taking it easy, working 20 hours a week, playing at least one round of golf a day and bringing in around a quarter of a million a year. You see, even in his lazy stage, he's a big dream guy that isn't afraid to take bold actions to make things happen.
Now, since he is the one that taught me about the law of attraction in the first place, there's no shortage of conscious creation going on in his world. He was raised in a small Texas town called Royce City and lived a large portion of his youth in a wobbly mobile home in poverty.
However, he was able to overcome this by bravely and courageously believing in his unlimitedness and taking bold action.
He does what most intentional attraction students don't do. In addition to thinking and visualizing BIG DREAMS, he also takes bold action daily in the direction of his big, hairy, audacious ideas.
Right now, he's developing beach front property in Cabo and getting a return on his idea of 10 to 1. He's negotiating large land purchases, contracting with the builders to build amazing, dream homes and selling the entire package to investors. What's more, he's not doing any of this with his own money nor does he have any kind of 'degree' that gives him the knowledge to do anything that he's actually doing.
He's the idea man that knows how to take bold risks and actions every day. He simply takes his idea and then starts talking it up!
Now, he also has 3 or 4 other projects all coming together at the same time: a cooking show, an antique mall in the heart of Chicago, a Cabo brewery export and - OH! You get the point.
It's true that not all of his current ideas will be a resounding success. Don't tell him this because he doesn't know or accept it. Failure is not an option in his world and fear of failure is simply NOT a part of his consciousness.
I share this with you because it's absolutely essential that you become aware of your big ideas and accept your unlimitedness if you want to move beyond your current experience.
You must also identify and eradicate your limiting thoughts to get out of your own way to manifest bigger life experiences.
I would like you to do a quick exercise but first, I want you to dismiss everything you 'know' about positive thinking. Just for the next 30 seconds, pretend as if you know nothing about how the law of attraction works.
Write down your answer to the following question:
What are the 3 things you want most in life, right now?
Write it down. Then return to this article.
Did you write then down? Good. Now, check into your solar plexus and ask yourself, which of the following feelings do I feel when I think of 'this desire'? (Circle all that apply)
Absolute Certainty
Expectant
Confident
Passionate
Excited
Hopeful
Neutral
Courageous
Demanding
Angry
Disappointed
Resentful
Frustrated
Afraid
Sad
Apathetic
If you felt absolute certainty, then congratulations you are in alignment with your desires. Maintain your certainty and simply prepare to receive.
If you felt mostly negative, then that is your inner guide telling you that you are WAY off target. It's not telling you that you CAN'T have what you want but that you don't believe in your unlimitedness enough to get it.
If you felt a few positive and a few negative emotions, this indicates that our 'consistent' thoughts are consistently inconsistent! What I mean by this is that one minute we feel thankful and confident and the next we are doubting and fearful.
To transcend the level of basic needs, we must get consistent with our powerful, passionate, on-fire thoughts of success and abundance AND put forth big ideas followed up with big actions.
If you are experiencing a desire to take your manifesting to the next level, then here's your order of business:
1 - Get a clear picture of what is beyond your glass ceiling! You must embrace awareness!
Become aware of your environment, your beliefs, what you want and how you feel about it. You must become the vibrational essence of what you desire. Millionaires have a millionaire mind and they surround themselves with other millionaire minds. Beyond your glass ceiling, lays the successful experience you desire. You've got to form a very clear picture of what that looks like!
Go hang out where successful people gather and listen to the conversations. You'll hear them talking about bold ideas and adventures. They are on fire about the next project, and the next project, and the next. There is no shortage of crazy ideas and bold statements of how to make the next idea a success!
Read biographies of successful entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and of individuals who achieved greatness. Learn what they did, how they did it and how they too had to overcome the odds to achieve success.
2 - Raise your vibration!
When you are less than courageous and positive, you must eliminate the doubt using some type of consciousness raising resource or system, such as EFT, meditation, the map of consciousness, prayer, a law of attraction coach, my vibration elevation formula, etc.
3 - Take inspired action!
There's not a single multi-millionaire on the planet that is living a fulfilling abundant life that got there by sitting on their manifesting couch.
Did they use the law of attraction to get where they are? You Betcha! However, they took bold, courageous action in a consistent fashion AND they failed miserably along the way, only to get back up again and risk everything again, and again, and again.
If you want abundance, then wake up to the ideas that are flowing to you. I promise they are there! You've heard them over and over again. You know what I'm talking about - those ideas that flash through your mind, calling you to take action on a bigger idea, a bigger dream, a bolder project:
- sell something on eBay
- start an online business
- improve that program
- join a network marketing club
- Sell my knowledge about.
- invest in real estate
- freelance my art, writing, design, computing, speaking, project management skills
- start a vending machine business
- play the options market
Are you likely to fall short of your goal, lose money, your pride, and face along the way? You Betcha!
However, there's also not a single multi-millionaire on the planet that will tell you they've never had a bad idea, or that they've never failed.
The good news, however, is that as a laws of attraction student, you always have the ability to re-create anything that you've created!
Simply sit back down on that manifesting couch and write out:
1- What is my current situation?
2- What do I want instead?
3- What beliefs do I have that are preventing me from accepting my unlimitedness?
4- What am I willing to do, give up, compromise on, accept, create, and take decisive, bold action on in order to make my intentions happen?
5- What must I do that is bold, courageous and intentional?
6- I intend - (this becomes your living vision)
7- What one thing can I do now?
8 - Do it!
The above 6 step exercise can be used to break you free of any glass ceiling that you've built for yourself.
Taking action on your ideas is like taking a sledgehammer to your glass ceiling. Of course, it's best to line up your energy with the essence of what you want, but it's better to take some action than no action at all.
Read over and over again Goethe's famous quote:
"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it." - Goethe
You must be able to see past the glass ceiling with certainty and clarity. Eliminate the limiting beliefs that make you fearful, and take bold, decisive action every day in the direction of your dreams.

P.S. Here's another idea - use the "my list of 100 things" worksheet in my Manifesting My Magnificent Life workbook. Use this as a means of identifying the WHAT piece of the Abundant life you are now manifesting:
