What a blessing you and your wife are!

Yes, tithe to wherever you feel spiritually fed. If giving to those in need supports you in 'feeling' like you are making a difference AND you are completely detached to where/how they spend the money then you are giving with aligned intentions and that's what counts! Tithing, as it relates to greater abundance, works because it's showing the Universe that you know that you are unlimited and that your wealth is limitless. When you tithe from an aligned place of confidence, you send forth a vibration of trust, faith, and certainty that resonates with prosperity; you send forth a magnetic beacon that says you KNOW that your source and supply is not the money in your hand that you are giving away but the endless and immediate, never-ending supply of lavish prosperity that comes from your consciousness of the Divine within, as your source and supply.

In Paula Langguth Ryan's book, "Giving Thanks: The Art of Tithing". She addresses the issue of 'charity vs. tithing' and the confusion around 'where and when it's appropriate to tithe'.

She writes, "Whatever name you call the gifts you give freely, cheerfully, joyfully and willingly, keep giving them with grateful thanksgiving and you will find yourself firmly in the flow of abundance."

We don't need to make our 'giving or tithing' complicated! Simply give to the people, places, or things that support you in expressing the Truth of your Divine Inheritance - that you are an unlimited child of God with unlimited resources and that your source and supply is instant and immediate.

Simultaneously, choose to be mindful and honor your current 'reality and beliefs' of financial growth. This means you don't want to overspend or make purchases on credit cards to display your 'new belief'. This will most likely only engage the energy of debt, lack and poverty consciousness and that's the opposite of what you want.

By taking aligned actions that are in balance with both abundant prosperity and your current state of acknowledged reality, you will consistently grow your prosperity consciousness and thereby grow your flow and materialization of abundance.

This isn't working! I can't manifest prosperity and I'm feeling hopeless - help!?

Hi Anisa,

I am trying very hard to manifest 'getting out of debt' and back on the road to prosperity. I am very ready to enjoy the freedom of not having to dread another bill through the door or endure sleepless nights anticipating the bank manager's letter to say you are in the 'red' again!!

I have worked with EFT recently and even paid L70.00 to have a one to one session. I am on EFT lists and do the (EFT and Prosperity) instructions they send, but this is just not working! I know probably more blocks, although tempting to pay more money to look for the 'promise' of prosperity, I am in a situation that I have no space on a credit card to do it and more to the point, I've lost the faith that it works......what advice do you have for me and probably others like me who just want to get ahead in the prosperity race??? - Thanks, K.

Right now, if the words in your question are any indication (and I believe they are), what you 'KNOW' is that you have pink-slips, sleepless nights, worry about debt, loss of faith, maxed out credit cards and hopelessness.

Unfortunately, if we focus on 'getting out of debt' what we get is 'more debt'. If you are telling the Universe that what you want is 'the freedom of NOT having to dread another bill' then what you get is 'dreading another bill' because that's where your knowing, your focus, and your dominant thoughts are.

It is impossible to manifest abundance from a place of 'dreading the next bill'. There's simply no way around this fact.

In my experience, when I 'think' I've been working really hard at clearing my limiting beliefs and utilizing the law of attraction and it's just 'not working', I set myself down for a good, stern lecture. Because, inevitably, I'm not doing all that I can do and it's time to step up to the plate, get serious about my goals and take my commitment to the next level or even the next. It's time to see it through!

When I get to the place of frustration, exacerbation (a serious increase in the negative), or even fear, anger, or doubt - it's time to have a spiritual temper tantrum!

Here's an example of a spiritual temper tantrum --- what I might say to myself:

"Okay, Anisa. Here you are - NOT where you want to be and complaining loudly about how unfair this is and how you want something else! I got it! Go ahead - whine, complain, moan and groan and get it all out - right now! Because, immediately following this 'gripe session', you are on a strict mental diet. NO MORE whining and complaining! NO MORE victim mentality! You better get all that negativity out NOW because starting immediately; you will ONLY partake of positive, connected, spiritual, Divine thoughts acknowledging the TRUTH that you are unlimited.

You will ONLY partake of aligned thoughts and emotions that all is well, all is in Divine Order and that I always get what I want. Do you hear me, Anisa - YOU ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT AND LIFE ALWAYS WORKS OUT FOR YOU!!!!

You will ONLY partake of conversations that uplift you, inspire you, motivate you and give you absolute faith, confidence, hope and optimism.

And, you will start taking serious, committed action! No more sitting on the couch 'wishing' your dreams will come true. No more inaction on any level!

You will take spiritual action by re-committing to daily meditation and prayer. You will write down what you want God to provide for you and you will pray, ask for and then detach from the outcome, daily. You will list all those negative doubts and systematically walk through their release using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). Then, you will launch the opposite of those 'limiting beliefs' by creating daily rain dances that tell the Universe what I want and what I am ready, open, willing, and confident that I will receive!

Then, you will take two action steps every day to MAKE something happen. The Law of Reciprocity says that you must give in order to receive! Therefore, starting now, I will give, give, and give by taking committed physical action towards my goal every day without fail.

I love, accept and forgive you, Anisa. You have done the very best that you could up until this point. You were born for greatness - and it's time to start acting like it. It's time to take your power back and claim your Divine Birthright to unlimited wealth, health, love, joy, and passion. It is your birthright - step up and take the throne now!"

My advice is to not worry about what you don't know that may be preventing you from 'manifesting prosperity' and start focusing on what you do KNOW. You have the tools necessary to create a positive change and manifest the free-flowing abundance you desire. Accept that it's time to step up your commitment and do the 'work'. Be faithful, persistent, and committed and it WILL pay off.
