In the Americas we have a blue moon tonight!   I am very grateful....we have not had on since July 2004......Next month(JUNE) Europe will have theirs and New Zealand will have theirs in July.....(all due to time zones and our ......Gregorian Calendar!)

Well..it means that we saw the blue moon a few days ago.  Because of the time changes and the way the calendar falls (Gregorian calendar ...pretty much every month has different counts of days eg....30, 31, and the 28 or 29 leap year)....so depending on where ya live...you will experience the blue moon in a different month.  A blue moon is a lunar cycle that has 2 full moons in one month.  Normally we have one new moon to full moon cycle per month...But every once in awhile in a blue moon....we have 2 full moons!  Wink

Thanks Desiree , as always - a mine of information.
We had guests from Reno Nevada, for the last few days, one of the chaps knew all about the blue moon because of the Blue moon  beer he sells at his bar...
