hello everyone! some questions

Hello everyone! It's great to be in conversation with people about an idea I'm so passionate about, without having it go over their head, or have them think I'm crazy. My name's Chris by the way.

I have been reading books about the law of attraction for a while now, but it all still feels so new to me. Every day it's a constant re-shifting of how I'm thinking and what I'm thinking about. I've read "The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent", and I'm working on "Excuse me your life is waiting." Firstly I was hoping you all could share your insights you've gained from these books - as they are manuals for solving a generic "reality" puzzle if you will, but each of us are our own individual puzzles, so I'm curious to hear different perspectives.

My life has certainly gotten better, I'm in the best mental state I've ever been in, I don't work very much, and I live in a beautiful place where I get to hike and be with my friends. However, this life is a sort of baseline to the kind of life I really want to live - which is to understate, very luxurious. Right now my focus is to attract my ideal relationship, and attract enough money so that I can travel the world and really learn all the things I want to. My primary life themes are Adventure, Love, and Abundance. I've never used a life coach, but I have devoted much of my time to this.

I have a couple of questions -

Regarding signs - I truly believe this phenomenon to be true because I've seen evidence of it. Yesterday I meditated on all the positive things that I want to have happen, and I saw a beautiful smoke trail from a plane during the sunset from my deck. It was streaked with pink. That alone wasn't enough to convince me it was a sign, but just then I was playing guitar and my pick broke. My pick has never broken once! I took as a sign the universe telling me "I hear you"

My question is, what do you do when you see a sign? I've read a lot about inspired action, but I'm a person who's always believed in signs, and my ego has definitely played that against me, so how do I know if it's really a sign? And more importantly, what do I do when I see a genuine sign?

Secondly, what I really want is to increase the speed of manifestation. But I feel like the more I focus on increasing the speed, the more I push things away. And it's this law, I believe the law of detachment, is where I keep fumbling. I want to attract more women into my life, but the more I focus, the more they seem to push away. I don't understand because, you must focus on what you do want right? Which is love and satisfaction, passion, exuberance, and joy. But if that's the case, why does the one thing that could ultimately bring me the most joy, remain so elusive? And how can, by letting go completely (I'm not sure I even know how to do that) your dreams manifest? It doesn't feel to me like in this way of thinking there's a direct correlation from your passion of wanting something to happen to the beauty of the eventual attracted circumstance.

And if that's the case, then is letting go truly the answer? So far counting on things to happen in a certain way has led me to crash and burn. But if you're supposed to let go, then when do you even know to act? Because I do believe it's possible for it to be easy to attract wealth, love, and adventure, but I don't really feel "inspired" by just sitting around waiting to feel inspired.

well, I cant tell you what to do when you get a sign, but here is a little story.
I few years agao I was considering an expensive course in the US. Like you are now, I was addressing the issues of prosperity, money, abundance. I asked for a sign, after I got excited reading a forum where several people were talking about going. I thought/felt 'I want to be there'. That feeling was a bit like a child being left out of the fun. It didnt seem as if I had enough money to go as earlier in the year I had been inspired to use all my savings to buy some 'green' shares...anyway, I asked for a sign to let me know if I should go....later on that morning when I looked out of my window I saw a silver van and on the side was written  'feed your soul'...I took that as a sign, so booked the course..when I looked out later, after booking, the van had moved..it was now parked right outside my door..so, when I get a sign, I act.

ps.. when I checked my finances..I had enough plus I easily got a seat on the plane plus a bed space opened up in the hotel where the seminar was being held.. it had previously been fully booked... this stuff doesnt only happen in books..it happens in real life too..mine and yours

Hello everyone from me too! And Anisa, you are the greatest! I absolutely adore your articles and thank you very much for sharing them!

But about the subject, I have the same questions about signs. I often find myself asking The Divine for a sign, even if I can't understand it (actually I always think I could understand any sign) but every time I have to admit that the sign could mean so many things and I get confused and depressed.

I don't have all the answers ... but your questions remind me of one of my favorite quotes:

"There are two ways to live your life. One is as if nothing is a miracle and the other is as if everything was a miracle."
- Albert Einstein

The signs around us don't mean 'anything' until we give them meaning.  Just as quantum physics is proving that the furniture in our bedrooms doesn't actually appear until we 'see' it, acknowledge it, and expect it to appear. 

Sooooo.... WHAT IF everything was a sign and everything was a miracle? 

If we choose to allow everything to be a miracle, then we will be more inspired to get up and take action.  If we choose to be perplexed about what something 'means', then we will most likely do more contemplating and procrastinating than acting and attracting. 

My new motto is 'everything always works out for me' and 'I always get what I want'.  This is allowing me to see everything as a 'sign' that I'm on the right path and that I'm simply going to use this 'sign' as my roadmap. 

I can look at the sign and say - hmmm... is this the neighborhood I want?  Do I want to take a different route?  What works for me about this 'neighborhood' and what do I want to create differently about this experience? 

This way - I'm using everything as a milestone and everything as a miracle and everything as a reason to take more action.

... ahhhh... the joy of detachment.

'letting go completely' doesn't mean dismissing the desire.  For me, it means trusting with absolute certainty that what I want is already mine.  I am simply going to open the door and give thanks for it.  'letting go' means feeling certain, confident, trusting, and expectant.  Any feelings of 'this isn't happening fast enough' or 'I'm pushing them away' are an indication of attachment. 

In meditation, take some time to expand your belief in your unlimitedness - in your pure potentiality.  When we focus on the CAUSE of what we desire as our consciousness of the presence of God within, then we allow that CONSCIOUSNESS to magnetize all the experiences we want.  However, when we focus on the external 'specific' we tend to get attached and have a more difficult time attracting. 

For me, it's always about expanding my knowingness about my connection to God - as the Divine Child of God with Unlimited Potential that I truly am.  When I focus there - then it's easier to 'let go' because I know that my divinity will take care of all of my wants, needs, and desires.

This certainly has helped me. One thing that has happened to me almost daily for the past 2 years (and still does) is that when I look at the clock it's always 11:11 or 15:15 or 12:12 and so on (I live in Romania and we don't have am or pm just hours from 0 to 24). It probably doesn't mean anything but I'm just curious if it happens to anyone else here and what it could mean.

Hi everyone, my name is Anne but my username "Satya Yogi" means truthful lover of God.

I have been studying the principles of manifesting for a long time...beginning with Shakti Gawain's "Creative Visualization" the Abraham Hicks books and recently "Excuse Me While My Life is Waiting."  As a yogi, I have also read "Autobiogoraphy of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda which is a beautiful book and he talks about manifesting (he died in 1952).  None of this is new...it is just learning to sort out the basics, apply them and believe in them.

Chris you say you read "Excuse Me..." I found this book to be excellent but most of your post is about what you don't want.  Perhaps you should review the book and keep a journal...it helps.

I did some teleseminars and coaching with Anisa and she is wonderful.  She is very intuitive in helping to release blocks through EFT so that you can feel good and create what you want.  You may want to consider a session with her (no, I don't work for her).

...and like Anisa says, you detach yourself from when, where or how as well as fear, worry and doubt and voilla...it shall come to you.

I am a therapist ,  i work with people who are in pain , so perhaps my view of humanity is somewhat distorted ...
but - here is my question:
How come nobody needs to be told how to think negatively , why is THAT so easy .. no books or tele seminars are needed .. it comes so naturally to most people ...
Abraham says that as babies we come onto this world still remembering the TRUTH...but babies are pretty powerless and have no way of verbelizing this knowingness ...

Signs? I love signs and they are every where!!!! Almathea, Doreen Virtue's "Angel Numbers" goes where ever I do. I also see numbers that repeat them selves and I love the angel meanings. 11 means "Pay attention to your repetitve thoughts and ideas, as they're answers to your prayers. This number also signifies a highly creative person who needs to avoid addictive behaviors."

15 means "Change and elevate your thoughts. Use affirmations and prayers to help your thoughts and feelings rise above negativity."

12 means "have faith that spirit is speaking to you through repetitive thoughts, ideas and insights that guide you to improve something in your life, or the life of others. Allow your positive affirmations to lead the way."

Almathea......seeing the same numbers frequently are just like Jeanne said.  The angels communicate much with numbers.  This is one of their ways to get through to us earthbound souls!!!!   I see 444 and 555 everyday...I will look at the clock no matter where I am at and WOW...their they are!  I see 444 on licence plates, phone numbers ...you name it!  11:11 is considered a master number...I see that all the time as well as 911 (which is my birth time)you can read about 11:11 on               www.nvisible.com  this site is mastered by Solaris...she talks in depth abouth the earth changes.  And it is Nvisble not invisible.....just confirming so you make it to the site easily!   11:11 is a very strong sign that we are re-membering who we are and why we are here...hence the master numbers!   We are all ONE!
