My job

Okay here is the situation..
At work we get commission on top of our base pay..They have recently chenged the commission structure...the more points you have the more money you get..BUT there is only so much money to make...for instance lets say a person has the most points..more than anyone else...they get the top pay...they must keep selling to get more points to keep the top spot but they don't get any more money since there is only so much money...Its very competitive and I hate that competitive feeling....I get upset when someone gets more points than me because I get less money..I know I should NOT be focusing on less money..I know I know..I know ! And I should not be focusing on what others are doing!! I am frustrated with this...Anyone have any suggestions to make this easier for me?? Its the strangest thing..I can normally let stuff go but for some reason...I really do not know how to let this go...Thanks!

What DO you want? You clearly know what you do not want. Try to focus only or primarily on what you DO want. Imagine with all your senses what your desired out come is. You might try as difficult as it might be to be to celebrate others successes, since the universe will bring to you more things to feel grateful about.Maybe you can visualize your ideal job, the one that pays equally excellent to all its employees.

Hi Lisa... Nice to see you again. I know sometimes I may sound a bit 'sermon-y' (if that is a word)...but I will take this back to the thought of...We are all ONE and when we connect with others on that basis...we do not need to compete. We work together as a 'family unit' or a team. I always think that when we help each other reach our goals...it is always a win-win situation. If everyone was coming up with the same amount of points...You are all winning. I do not understand why companies create a competitive edge (well I do but it has to do with greed at every one else's well being). So to answer how to deal with it. Look at the situation from a non-competitive view. See everyone reaching their goal and everyone being happy. Look at it like a BIG POINT PARTY where everyone is getting equal slices of the cake. See this, visualize it, and feel how happy and wonderful everyone feels about themselves and each other. You know I have always felt that when we all come together.....WE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS~ If you love your job and enjoy the perks and incentives...balance out the competition.....play your own 'fun games' with your co-workers. Everyone will be more productive and happy! Let go of the competitive feeling.......this can be your first step! Hope this helps. Hi Lisa ,
Envy is never about the other person , it is always about the way you hurt yourself .
At the end of the day you don't really care how much money the other is taking home ... you suffer, because you have just made yourself "not good enough"....
When you make a commitment to yourself that nothing and nobody can influence how you value yourself ... a lot of this will cease to bug you.
