What about …The Secret, the law of attraction, and the reason that Jerry & Esther Hicks withdrew?!?!

About the New York Times artilce regarding The Secret, The law of attraction and Jerry and Esther Hicks.
Many friends are emailing and wanting to discuss their dismay and alarm, etc. They want to understand why Jerry and Esther Hicks withdrew from The Secret and they want to get a grip on ‘how’ they should feel about this.
Many are emailing with dramatic thoughts and emotions of anger, resentment, sadness, and disappointment.
It’s unfortunate that there’s so much drama over The Secret and why Jerry and Esther Hicks withdrew from the film.
It’s just my opinion, but I’m excited about the film and happy that more people are being exposed to the Law of Attraction and how to use the Power of their Minds to intentionally create the life they really want. And, although I loved the original, I understand Jerry and Esther’s stance and support their decision – while also supporting the Secret producer’s decision to move along!
I say it’s unfortunate, but maybe it’s not… maybe that it’s all part of the Law of Attraction at work and therefore part of the Divine Order… hmmm, well OF COURSE it is.
Maybe it’s that the additional drama will bring additional media and exposure – HEAVEN KNOWS our media loves the drama and maybe THAT will produce even greater awareness and therefore —!!! Ah ha!!!! It is indeed perfect.
Within the NY Times Health section, you’ll see the current article “Shaking Riches Out of the Cosmos” -
The reporter, Allen Salkin, interviews Jerry and Esther Hicks and The Secret producer, Rhonda Byrne, and pulls together, what I percieve, is his very own version of the sensationalized truth. The essence of the makers and participants real energy and feelings cannot be shared within a short and sweet article intended to jab, stir the emotions, and raise eyebrows of it’s readers. I’m not actually judging… if I were a reporter, I’d know how to play the game and get read too… I get that! And, he didn’t even go over the top with the ‘inuendos’ when he certainly could have. (so, bravo!)
So, here’s what I want to share with my readers….
Does it really matter?
Does it feel good to ponder the disappointment?
Does it feel good to judge The Secret participants as somehow wrong or greedy or whatever you may be feeling in your loyalty to Abraham etc.?
Does it feel good to judge Esther and Jerry Hicks for their decision?
For me, it does not. And, therefore, that’s where it ends!
Additionally, the entire idea that law of attraction students and teachers should NOT use commercial means to get out the message is ludicrous to me! The Universe provides the information and resources and as teachers it’s our job and our destiny to do what is aligned with our capacity to send forth the message. Where it lands and with whom it lands is always, always, always Divinely ordained.
And, should a law of attraction teacher (or anyone else for that matter) incrase their prosperity consciousness and therefore their prospeirty in the process – well, Hallelujah!
We can only truly teach others what we’ve experienced personally – there is unlimited wealth and the wealthier I am, the more wealth I have to share! I am excited about those who’ve participated receiving their abundance. They deserve it!
Here’s something else that Jerry and Esther shared on their website specifically speaking to the ‘drama’ over their withdrawal and how they truly want us to look at this:

the way “The Secret” moves us, and we feel joy rise within our hearts every

will be omitted in future offerings of it, that instead you enjoy the
original Abraham version, as it is, at this time, and that you look forward
to what other incredible things these talented people may bring to you.
These are people who clearly care about the planet, who want to be of value,
and who, in our opinion, are of tremendous value.
Financially speaking, we have been very well paid for our participation with
this project? which has amounted to a staggering amount of money. And if

The secret law of attraction is always conspiring in our favor… we always get what we want!

We always get what we want, even when we think we don’t.
The secret law of attraction is always conspiring in our favor. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we realize that all is well and in Divine Order and the sooner we can get on with smelling the roses.
After my ‘Defeating Your Mental Kraken’ article (on how to make the secret law of attaction work for you), Janie Arnold sent me this lovely email demonstrating what most of us do all too often… despair over NOT getting what we wanted, when in fact, if we open our eyes, we always get what we want and all we have to do is continue to embrace the possibilities.
Here’s what Janie shared about manifesting 7 months of play time in Florida and the most beautiful English garden!

First of all thanks for all the good info! Love your stuff! I just wanted to add something from my perspective on the appearance of not creating what we want in our lives.
Personally, I am finding out that I always get what I wanted – it is just in such a different form than I had planned for myself that very often I do not recognize that I have in fact received what I wanted!! For example, a couple of years ago I had a job that I loved. I was all set to transfer to Florida, but postponed it so that I could cover my beloved boss while he went on vacation for 2 weeks (otherwise he wouldn’t have gotten to go).Anyway, the whole 2 weeks were sheer hell! The craziest, most stressful, most bizarre stuff happened! Non-stop – it was really unbelievable…I was putting in 13+ hour days, ya da ya da. The whole thing circled out of control and I wound up resigning.
Now, mind you, I had covered him numerous times and so that was nothing new. Upon quitting I went home and couldn’t even get out of bed… I was so depressed – I truly loved that job, and I lay there in this state of ultimate despair. Wondering how I could have been so forsaken by God. I reflected on my creation box (Hicks) and how it was full of pictures of me frolicking in the sun doing all kinds of great outdoor stuff and bemoaned the fact that I was no longer going to Florida. Woe was me!!!
It took a day or 2 of complete despair before it dawned on me that I got unemployment, it was springtime in Alaska and I was free to play from April until October when my benefits ran out!! What I truly wanted was freedom to have fun and do as I pleased!
Once I realized the beauty of the whole thing I had the best summer ever! I was so grateful and with that came the peace of knowing that God would take care of everything and that the perfect job would appear at the perfect time – and sure enough!!
I’m only going to bore you with one more example…I saw a picture of an English garden in a magazine and thought to myself “I want a garden like that!” I was living in an apartment and didn’t even have a yard, but thought that when I got around to manifesting a house I would have a garden like that. Well, every day I would walk my dogs around this huge vacant lot near my home. First, I noticed that the wild roses were unusually abundant that year and the vacant lot was full of them. Next, came the daisies, red clover, lupin, etc… I would walk by and thank God for the beautiful abundance of glorious flowers, and again, it took me forever before it dawned on me that this was the garden I wanted! It was all mine to enjoy…and no work!! It couldn’t be more perfect than that!
My point is that so often we focus on the shape we think our manifestation should take and get tunnel vision. I think we always get what we want…we just don’t always see it!

How to use EFT to get rid of ‘the story’ from our past that still causes us pain.

Hi Anisa,
Could I ask a quick question? I’m using your EFT/LOA worksheet to zap away a few things. So far I’ve only had experience of using EFT to get rid of specific feelings – in the worksheet it talks about referring to specific memories that were similar to how you now feel.
My debt situation right now is very similar to how I felt studying for my school/university exams whilst growing up and the pressure I felt. In fact it seems to relate very well to most of my upbringing! I’m not sure how to transfer this memory into the ‘Even though…’ part of the setup statement?
Also a little lost on how to handle the implants as well as this seem to refer to this memory/trigger events. Is it best to use this approach together with the positive implants for when I do my 100 vibrational push-ups? I’m a little concerned that this may take me 100 days! Could the same results be achieved with the bulk standard eft method without the affirmations/implants?

Hi N,
Sure… with the ’story’ method, just tap on your points as you tell the story. If you ever get to an ‘even though… ‘ point – use those words, but you may not. You may JUST talk and tap as though you were retelling the story to someone.
Now, with the implanting… if it feels confusing or like it’s slowing you down. Then, skip it for now. First concentrate on neutralizing the negativity and then when you are feeling more neutral, go back and start tapping in the story you would have liked to have experienced. You can use the same tell the story technique here – just MAKE it up as you go to be exactly as wonderful and incredible, and fulfilling as you like.
The Vibrational Push-Ups exercise has been primarily used to break through a glass ceiling in our consciousness and I wonder… I wonder… I wonder… how it will work with combining the implanting process?!?
My only ‘concern’ (if you can call it that) is that if we implant the positive and haven’t actually achieved a state of neutrality by processing the deep, subconscious thoughts that the Vibrational Push-Ups exercise was designed to eliminate – It’ll be curious to me if we have to go back later and dig those up or if you can simply tap the negative, tap the positive and let it be so! I bet it will depend on the person and of course their corresponding limiting beliefs.
Give it a try and let me know! If you feel inspired to do it that way – then honor that! Your guidance is always worthy of trusting.
Be sure to tap on ‘this could take me 100 days’ because if you’re feeling the pressure of ‘this will take too long’ then sure enough, that’s what you’ll attract. Get to a place where you can honestly say and feel, “this is all in perfect order and divine timing … and I don’t care how long it takes, I’m going to do my work now and let it go. If it takes the rest of my life, so be it… I’m willing and… I’m willing to have it be ‘fast’ too!
