We were born with the unlimited potential to intentionally create (use the law of attraction) to manifest all of our heart's desires. Together, as Conscious Leaders guided by the Divine, we have the Mind Power necessary to co-create a sustainable, harmonious, peaceful, and prosperous world.  And, we can do this while also attracting and creating a passionate, loving, rich, healthy life with all of our personal dreams fulfilled.

Waiting on the Universe-Managed-Welfare to manifest prosperity?

Want to manifest prosperity but anxiously waiting on the “Universe Managed Welfare” to pay up?

Most conscious creators hoping to intentionally create prosperity end up sabotaging their Divine Birthright to abundance.  We end up waiting on the Universe to pay-up because after all we’ve been visualizing taking possession of all these wonderful, opulent things; And, shouldn’t that be enough to stock our bank account with untold riches?

In fact, I believe knowing the LOA often creates this desire for handouts and an expectation of a “Universe managed welfare” system.    In the movie The Great Debaters, Denzel Washington’s character argued, “Welfare discourages hard work.  Welfare takes away a man’s strongest reason for working; which is survival and that weakens the will of the poor.”

I once received a call from a reader wanting to know how to use the Law of Attraction to manifest abundance.  As the conversation progressed she revealed that she didn’t want to get a job, save any money, donate any of her time or treasures, make any investments, stop spending, or take any action whatsoever.  What she wanted was to prove the Universal Laws by sitting at home and manifesting money without ever picking up a finger.

My response: “Yes.  You are an unlimited child of God and thus you can create anything you choose.  If this is the only way you are willing to create prosperity then please start with a serious spiritual, meditation sabbatical.  I suggest you move to India, find an Ashram and meditate 75% of your waking time for the next year.”   This of course required ‘lifting a finger’ and therefore was not what she was willing to do in order to have it her way.

A couple of years later I received an email from her.  Sadly, she had not only discovered that the Universe Managed Welfare system does not exist but she had also decided that the entire field of personal development and spirituality was a sham.  I also know that many of you feel this way too at times because it ‘feels so challenging to get the LOA to work’.

I do know LOA students who have manifested incredible win-falls.  From the outside one might wonder why it was so easy for them and envy their ‘luck’.  However, not only are the win-falls the minority experience but not a single ‘win-fall’ that I’ve ever observed came without a price-tag and/or untold amounts of personal development work.

Remember the Tortoise and the Hare childhood story?

The Tortoise and the Hare

An Aesop Fable

One day a hare was bragging about how fast he could run. He bragged and bragged and even laughed at the tortoise, who was so slow. The tortoise stretched out his long neck and challenged the hare to a race, which, of course, made the hare laugh.

“My, my, what a joke!” thought the hare. “A race, indeed, a race. Oh! What fun! My, my! A race, of course, Mr. Tortoise, we shall race!” said the hare.

The forest animals met and mapped out the course. The race begun, and the hare, being such a swift runner, soon left the tortoise far behind. About halfway through the course, it occurred to the hare that he had plenty of time to beat the slow trodden tortoise.

“Oh, my!” thought the hare, “I have plenty of time to play in the meadow here.”

And so he did.

After the hare finished playing, he decided that he had time to take a little nap.

“I have plenty of time to beat that tortoise,” he thought. And he cuddled up against a tree and dozed.
The tortoise, in the meantime, continued to plod on, albeit, it ever so slowly. He never stopped, but took one good step after another.

The hare finally woke from his nap. “Time to get going,” he thought. And off he went faster than he had ever ran before! He dashed as quickly as anyone ever could up to the finish line, where he met the tortoise, who was patiently awaiting his arrival.

One moral of this story is ’slow and steady wins the race’.  Indeed when it comes to accepting that the ESSENSE of Prosperity includes the essence of both resilience and persistence and patience (A.K.A faith) then we can learn a great deal about how to use the Universal Laws to make our lives more prosperous with the theme of ’slow and steady wins every time.’

However, there’s another moral for conscious creators.  The idea that ‘we can take a nap’ because the Law of Attraction makes life easier only works when your level of faith, trust, and absolute certainty is as solid as your belief that the sun will rise tomorrow.  That’s the only time I’ve seen ‘napping’ as an aligned choice.  (And, it’s glorious to nap under those conditions I might add – but try taking a nap when you know you’re just avoiding your work and the nap just seems lazy, uninspired, and depressing!  That’s not the devil speaking – that’s your spiritual self telling you there’s more consciousness work to do!)

Many conscious creators have their priorities mixed up.  They want ‘creating wealth’ to be easy and magical even more than they want to experience the prosperity itself.  Thus, they choose to nap long before they’ve completed the transformation from poverty consciousness to prosperity consciousness.
There’s always an exchange of energy that occurs for every manifestation.  There’s always a price to pay for the creation and fulfillment of any dream.  Period.   The Law of Attraction never engages without its interdependent partner, the Law of Reciprocity.

For me, this is good news!  With the facts clearly outlined, I can create prosperity using a systematic blueprint in alignment with the Universal Principles.

I believe we can choose to cooperate with what we are given while opening up to the possibility of magic and miracles. However, I discourage the idea of shutting down your options.  For example, never build prosperity dams by choosing to say, “that’s the only way I want it” or “the only way it can happen for me.”

On the other hand, this doesn’t mean it has to be ‘hard work’ but we do have to do our due diligence.  If you do not have Prosperity – the kind of prosperity you really want – then your dominant vibration is out of alignment!  It’s not because you don’t deserve it or because there’s something wrong with your efforts or you, but because you are not focusing more on the ‘essence’ of prosperity than on the ‘essence’ of poverty.
What ‘work’ do you need to do?  Get rid of ALL limiting beliefs and negative emotions including self-doubts, universal/global consciousness doubts until you are so aligned with JOY that you are ‘Rich’ even before you are ‘wealthy’.

One way is EFT.  With EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) you can learn to commit to ’slow and steady’ while actually achieving great strides in one swift tapping round at a time.  I’ve seen students move from actual welfare to making more than they ever have in a matter of weeks.  Of course, I must admit that these students were diligent in their EFT & LOA commitment.

There’s really no ‘get rich quick’ scheme out there except for the spiritual path of Divine Inheritance.  The sooner you allow yourself to both accept your Unlimited Potential while simultaneously doing what must be done physically (saving, investing, exchanging energy, etc.) the sooner you’ll manifest prosperity.

It is after all your birthright.  However, it’s not going to happen if you’re napping instead of stepping-up to your call.

What’s the difference between God’s Will and My Will ??

Q: Would you elaborate on what you meant when you said you find certainty more powerful than faith because you get caught up in the “God’s Will not My Will” problem? I have really struggled with the New Thought and Law of Attraction concepts because I do still believe in my Christian heritage. So, how do you reconcile God’s Will with our continued desire to be and create more through the law of attraction? How does that work?

A:

I’ve been pondering this question for a few weeks now….wondering if I have the courage to talk about something so controversial; wondering if my little mind could find a way to articulate my real feelings about God’s Will vs. My Will vs. Ego-Will in a succinct enough manner to do the question justice.

Then, as the Divine always does, when I handed my questions and doubts over, I was handed the most appropriate response.

My dear friend, Janis Foley, sent me a lovely book some time ago that I finally felt inspired to read – Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Here’s the excerpt that God wanted me to read and share with you:

“I explained to Iva my personal opinions about prayer. Namely, that I don’t feel comfortable petitioning for specific things from God, because that feels to me like a kind of weakness of faith. I don’t like asking, “Will you change this or that thing in my life that’s difficult for me?” Because – who knows?- God might want me to be facing that particular challenge for a reason. Instead, I feel more comfortable praying for the courage to face whatever occurs in my life with equanimity, no matter how things turn out.

Iva listened politely, then asked, “Where’d you get that stupid idea?”

“What do you mean?”

“Where did you get the idea you aren’t allowed to petition the universe with prayer? You are part of this universe, Liz. You’re a constituent – you have every entitlement to participate in the actions of the universe, and to let your feelings be known. So put your opinion out there. Make your case. Believe me — it will at least be taken into consideration.”

As conscious creators seeking to live the highest and best, intending to fulfill our life’s purpose – we are ALWAYS seeking to align with God’s Will – which in fact, is also OUR will (our highest Will that is.)

We are not separate from God’s Will. God’s Will is always the highest aligned experience of Love, Peace, Joy, Prosperity, Wellness, Wisdom, Beauty, and Wholeness. And, our Will is always the highest aligned experience of the same.

I do not want to suggest that we always get our highest desire, we do not. However, we do get what we are most vibrationally aligned with – without exception.

I can’t speak for you but I was taught that the Man upstairs ‘works in mysterious ways’ and that as a good Christian, I wasn’t to question His methods but to know that He has His reasons for inflicting suffering when He does. I was taught that God’s Will was separate from mine, just as we are separate from Him.

I know I’ve shared with you that my best friend was killed in a terrible car wreck when I was 13. The best intended comfort was not very comforting: “God’s Will is difficult to understand sometimes.”

All I could think was, “WHAT?! How the hell could anyone say that it was God’s Will to rip my beautiful friend away from me, and leave her family devastated?!?!”

Then of course I had to think of the other tragedies in my life and when I thought of some long-bearded man sitting on his throne randomly dishing out consequences I rebelled. Why would He choose to save the two men that shot my grandfather in cold blood while moments later allowing my friend to die young in a car crash?!? What I really wanted was for God to come right down here and chat with my fist a minute or two.

It was the crazy thought that God was somewhere else handing out random judgments about who would be ‘punished’ and who would be stricken with terminal illness and who would be widowed early etc. that worked me into frenzy. Where’s the congruency between, God is loving and just and random acts of wrath?

I felt angry and never reconciled the teachings of “God is Just” with “God also likes to play Craps with our lives for fun; but don’t be mad at God he really loves you.“

What?!?!

This still doesn’t make sense to me. Of course, I’ve been denounced for my questioning and sinful ways –”You are not to question God’s word; only to trust it.”

But, did I actually HAVE God’s word? Or, did I have the words as interpreted and translated hundreds if not thousands of times, by various leaders with vastly different motives, through the ages?

I decided to start looking secretly for more answers. I’m not suggesting that my path should be your path. However, if you intend to be a masterful conscious creator then overcoming the idea that God’s Will is separate from our Highest Will is required, one way or another.

“I am a free being, choosing to align my will with God’s will.” – Kabballah Affirmation

When we align with God’s Will (our highest will) there’s never strife, ego, selfishness, fear, doubt, guilt, shame, envy, poverty etc. The highest vibration of life contains all that is Good and thus the highest Will of all includes bliss, love, acceptance, peace, wholeness, and prosperity.

Unlike the idea that we humans are inherently bad and born sinners, it is actually our highest path to be aligned with the consciousness of Love and Peace; the consciousness of the Christ Mind within.

Ernest Holmes, founder of The Science of Mind, explains it this way:

“We Believe in God, the Living Spirit Almighty; one indestructible, absolute, and self-existent Cause. This One manifests Itself in and through all creation but is not absorbed by Its creation. The manifest universe is the body of God; it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite selfknowingness of God. We Believe in the incarnation of the Spirit in everyone and that all people are incarnations of the One Spirit. We Believe in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding. We Believe that heaven is within us and that we experience it to the degree that we become conscious of IT. We Believe the ultimate goal of life to be a complete emancipation from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all. We Believe in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God. We Believe that God is personal to all who feel this indwelling Presence. We Believe in the direct revelation of Truth through the intuitive and spiritual nature of the individual, and that any person may become a revealer of Truth who lives in close contact with the indwelling God. We Believe that the Universal Spirit, which is God, operates through a Universal Mind, which is the Law of God; and that we are surrounded by the Creative Mind which receives the direct impress of our thought and acts upon it. We Believe in the healing of the sick through the Power of this Mind. We Believe in the control of conditions through the Power of this Mind. We Believe in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving-kindness, and the eternal Givingness of Life to all. We Believe in our own soul, our own spirit, and our own destiny; for we understand that the life of all is God.”

The old version of God’s Will as separate from us, simply isn’t congruent with the Conscious Creators intention of understanding and accepting our Unlimited Potential as Divine Children of an All-Providing father/mother/God.

“I am a channel of transmission, gathering and passing on all that comes to and through me for the good, to other living beings and to the next generation.” Kabbalah Affirmation

On the other hand, we also have this ego-will that rears its head – and this is NOT God’s Will/Our Highest Will.

The ego-will looks at our life and judges our circumstances as wrong or unfair and then says,
“I don’t accept this. I want more.” But, the ego-will says I want more from this bratty place of “I’m entitled because I believe I should have this and if I don’t get it then I’m going to throw a fit.”

The fit comes in many forms: working harder, judging others, bemoaning our life, and overall a general denial of SOURCE as our one and only supply.

There’s a difference between relying on my will (ego-will) – where I am determined to rely on only my strength and my own abilities, vs. when I rely on God’s Will (My Highest Will). When I rely on God’s Will, the entire Universe dances with delight on my playground and my True Self of unlimited potential shows up to lead the fun!

OH – stop! Let’s not forget to address the benefit of Faith in God’s Will! I have to take a moment to celebrate the Power of Faith and the Brilliant gift of real, Faith.

If we choose to accept that there’s always a Divine Order and thus we accept that God’s Will is at hand and therefore part of the Divine Plan that is Just, and Good, and Reliable, then we learn to leverage that all critical law of allowing (law of detachment) principle called FAITH!

This is WHY prayer and handing it over to God, is so incredibly powerful! Most of us have these limiting beliefs about ourselves. We still believe that we are not worthy of all that we desire; that we are not good enough and not talented, smart, lovable enough etc.

When we criticize our own worth, we disconnect from our Highest-Will (God’s Will). Thus, we experience that disconnection in the form of self-doubt and all the limited resources that this doubt manifests in our lives.

For many, it’s FAR easier to have FAITH in a separate but Good, Loving, Omnipotent God than to reconcile our own self-esteem.

In this situation, DO NOT worry about whether or NOT you believe that the spiritual power is within you – continue to work the system that works for you! If it’s easier to say God is Great and therefore I trust in His/Her Power – run with it!

And, if you desire to be a conscious creator with greater flexibility to employ the principles of attraction, then start to build that bridge between your self-love and your love of the Divine.

Now, for my progressive Christian friends who think I’m walking an uncomfortably fine-line here – this is NOT so different than what Jesus says throughout his teachings:

Jesus said to him, “‘If you are able?’ Everything is possible for the person who believes!” – Mark 9:23

And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” Matthew 17:20

Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” – John 11:40

Now you’re really going to think I’ve crossed the line because I’m going to follow bible verses with a Clint Eastwood quote -à “A good man knows his limitations.”

What?! How does ‘limitations’ work when we are supposed to be unlimited beings capable of attracting and creating anything our heart desires?

Because, we, in our ego-will, are separate from God and are therefore limited. However, when we combine our will with God’s will, we become one. It is in this oneness that we NEVER have to question whether or not our goals are on their way because “it is done”. It is in this oneness that we can relax and let the Divine Order take the wheel, because “It is done.” It is in this oneness that we can trust in the Divine Timing of the situation and look at every experience as the perfect manifestation for our highest growth at the moment, for our growth is assured, our goals are certain, and “It is done.”

You are a Divine Child of an all-providing Father/Mother/God. It is done.
