Hi Anisa! I am a positive person. I am an independent professional and my income depends on how many clients I have. Over the last three weeks I have had a hard time getting my calendar full with appointments. I’ve been feeling terrible today, but after my talk with God, I let it go. I started to think positive again. However, HOW in God’s name can I bring more clients and get more paying customers? How can I make more money? HOW SHOULD I THINK???WHAT SHOULD I DO???PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! :– Linda

First, notice how you changed your vibration by simply shifting from ‘things are really terrible’ to ‘God, please handle this.’ As you said, “after I talked with God I let it go.” You found peace by going within. This is also the answer to your question – ‘How should I think’ and ‘How can I make more money?’
The Peace Pilgrim walked more than 25,000 miles between 1953 and her death in 1981 simply because she wanted to share her message about how to create peace. Her passionate plea was really quite simple:
“There is a criterion by which you can judge whether the thoughts you are thinking and the things you are doing are right for you. The criterion is: Have they brought you inner peace? If they have not, there is something wrong with them, so keep seeking! If what you do has brought you inner peace, stay with what you believe is right.” - Peace Pilgrim (American Teacher and Spiritual leader and Peace Prophet, 1908-1981 www.peacepilgrim.com
When life’s rug is pulled out from under us, always seek your safe landing by first connecting with Spirit within. Ask and expect the Presence of God within to assist you.
In fact my favorite conversation with the Divine usually sounds something like, “God, this ‘issue’ is YOUR job and YOUR responsibility not mine. Therefore, I’m handing it over to you. I will relax and listen for your Divine Guidance. I will prepare to receive my good and know that this is handled. I will remember that my ONLY responsibility is to be aware of the Divine Presence within as the ONLY source and supply for all my good. I accept that as a Divine Child of God it is truly impossible for me to have any wants, needs or unfulfilled desires. Therefore, God, thank you for taking care of this for me. It is done.”
As you can see my conversation with God is not centered on ‘what else do I have to do to make my life right?’ It’s focused on – Universe, handle this and thank you!
Our source and supply is within. It’s not your job. It’s not the people you serve.
It’s not your clients, your contracts, or your employers. It’s not the government, your family, your spouse, your monthly stipend, or the number of people in your network.
No person, place, or thing is the source of your abundance.
Our abundance does not depend on the economy.
Our abundance does not come from how many people we know or how much money we have.
Our abundance does not depend on the lottery or an inheritance.
Now, for the skeptics – just because I am adamant that my source and supply is within does NOT mean that I do not believe in taking action without. I am a results gal! As soon as one goal is accomplished I’m passionate about getting to the next one. However, without inspired and aligned inspiration that leads to inspired and aligned action I’m just a hard-worker busting my butt in hopes of getting a break! And, we all know hard-workers that don’t have the proverbial ‘pot-to-piss-in’ as my redneck father would say!
YES – due diligence, attracting clients, getting gainful employment, etc. are all potential avenues for increased supply. And, yes-you may find that by taking actions like prospecting, and networking you attract more clients. YES, if you have inner guidance that says, ‘get a website’ or ‘start marketing’ for example, and you do not follow it, then you are ignoring the Divine instruction that will lead to greater abundance.
However, by assuming that the ONLY way for you to become prosperous is through ONE channel i.e.: your work, your bank account, your inheritance, etc. you shut-down ALL the other avenues of infinite supply and possibility. You are an unlimited child of a loving and generous Father/Mother/God.
Refusing to open up to the unlimited source and supply of infinite possibilities is like choosing to ONLY eat grapes because that’s the only fruit you’ve ever tasted.
Imagine refusing all the fruits of your birthright by saying, “No – I only eat grapes.
I hear what you’re saying … that there are a million different flavors of fruits – apples, oranges, mango, pomegranates, kumquats, wolfberries, etc.. Thanks, but I’m really only interested in grapes. That’s what I know. That’s what I grew up with. That’s the only fruit I know how to pick and know how to eat and therefore I refuse all other fruits!”
Why do we refuse our birthright to unlimited fruits, or in this case unlimited supply?
As soon as we get attached to ONE source and supply we stop the flow. And, we forget where our real source and supply comes from thus resisting the very nature of life and evolution.
“People think of their supply as coming from certain investments, or from a business, or from an employer, perhaps; whereas these are merely the channels through which it comes, God being the Source. A particular channel is likely to change, because change is the cosmic law of manifestation. Stagnation is really death; but as long as you realize that the source of your supply is the one unchangeable Spirit, all is well. The fading out of one channel will be but the signal for the opening of another. In its inner and most important meaning, our daily bread signifies the realization of the Presence of God – an actual sense that God exists not merely in a nominal way, but as the great reality; we can rely upon Him to supply all that we need to have; teach us all that we need to know; and guide our steps so that we shall not make mistakes. Once you align with the feeling that ‘all is well’, slow down and listen. You will hear the Divine Call that will say, ‘go here’ or ‘do this’. This inspired action will ALWAYS lead you to the next step in your abundance because it’s inspired.
My dear friend, Mina Brown, (my TurnKey Coaching Solutions business partner, my mentor, and one of the nation’s leading coaches) had a meeting earlier this week that was just drudgery to get to. It was pouring down rain, she was already not feeling well, she was 45 minutes late and didn’t want to be there. However, that voice inside kept urging her to just show up anyway. She courageously and blindly followed that voice. The events that unfolded were nothing short of Divinely Orchestrated because one old connection after another turned into multiple lucrative business opportunities.
Think of people in your life that have had to have a ‘money is not my supply’ mindset in order to create an abundant life doing what they love. I thought of a couple…
My family physician is a holistic MD. She believes the medical system is broken and refuses to deal with insurance companies. Her practice is booming. She’s so busy you can barely get in to see her and her clients have to pay up front for all services and file separately with their insurance. Think about how her mindset must be in order to believe, “I am successful and do not accept insurance.”
My best friend, Kelly Howard, owns Bayou City Outdoors. She decided years ago that she was going to get paid to ride bikes, travel to exotic places, go camping, hiking, sailing, skiing, kayaking, and make a lot of money playing full-out in an adventurous life! She gets paid to have parties! Imagine what her mindset must be to get paid to play? When people ask her how the economic downturn has affected her business, she says with full confusion, “what downturn?!?!”
The thing is ‘we were born to make manifest the GOD that is within us:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson (American Author and Lecturer, spiritual leader of the Church of Today)
Now, I’ve discovered that the more I become aware of this Truth, the easier it is to manifest whatever I want in a gazillion different ways I could have never imagined.
I started my path some 20 years ago by studying Ernest Holmes’ Science of Mind:
“The answer to every question is within man, because man is within Spirit and Spirit is an Indivisible Whole. The solution to every problem is within man; the healing of all disease is within man; the forgiveness of all sin is within man; the raising of the dead is within man; Heaven is within man. That is why Jesus prayed to this indwelling “I am” and said: “Our Father Which art in Heaven.” He also said: “The Kingdom of God is within you.” – Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind
Now… how do you activate that Presence of God? –By having that conversation with the Divine and letting it go again; Then, by BEING that which you desire, now.
